History of Mini

So, Alec Issigonis, a top engineer decided he was ready for a challenge: to design and build a small, fuel-efficient car capable of carrying four healthy adults, while still remaining affordable enough for everyone. 

The saying "big things come in small packages" is not one to be reckoned with :) Issigonis in all his glory decided that pushing the wheels all the way out to the corners and by turning the engine sideways would create more room... and it did :) 

Sure enough, people began to recognize that Mini was not merely a car. The unique combination of style, compact size, and zippy driving dynamics became the very essence of youth, independence and spontaneity. It was a way of life and was drenched in unlimited youification.
